  •         Monday, Wednesday and Friday  9:00 am to 9:00 pm*
  •         Tuesday and Thursday                 9:00 am to 8:00 pm *
  •         Saturday                                       9:00 am to 6:00 pm *
  •         Sunday                                         9:00 am to 4:00 pm *
  •      *  Patient must check-in 1/2 hour before closing.

Franklin Park Urgent Care Center is for non-emergency situations such as ear infections, sore throats, flu,  bladder infections, minor burns or cuts, school sports physical exams, DOT physical exams, sprains and bruises, broken bones, etc.

More serious injuries or illnesses are best treated at an emergency department. Contact your primary care physician for more severe problems like chronic pain, depression, epilepsy, heart problems, diabetes, etc.

Franklin Park Urgent Care Center is a convenient alternative when:

    • You can't get a timely appointment with your physician
    • You do not have the time to wait in a hospital emergency room
    • You want to avoid the high cost of a hospital emergency room visit
    • Your primary care physician's office is closed or your physician is on vacation
    • You are visiting from out of town and need non-emergency medical care

When should I go to an urgent care facility?

Your daughter twisted her ankle at basketball practice and it’s really starting to swell. But it’s late or it’s Saturday. And your doctor’s office is closed. What should you do?

Although it may seem like a trip to the hospital is in order, the emergency room is not always the best answer. You may be in for a long wait while more critical patients are treated and, depending on your health plan, it could cost you more money.

For a minor illness or injury that needs immediate medical attention, Franklin Park Urgent Care Center is a better option.

Franklin Park Urgent Care Center is also a good place to receive physical exam medical services. We provide the following physical exam services:

    • Adoption physical exams
    • College sports physical exams
    • DOT (CDL) medical exams
    • FAA medical exams (all classes)
    • Pop Warner physical exams
    • Pre-employment physical exams
    • Public/Private school sports physical exams

When should I go to a hospital emergency room?

Urgent care is not a substitute for emergency care. You should go to an acute care hospital's emergency department for very serious or life-threatening problems. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, don't wait! Call 911 or get to your nearest hospital emergency room.

    • Chest pain
    • Severe abdominal pain
    • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
    • Sudden dizziness, weakness or loss of coordination or balance
    • Sudden blurred vision
    • Numbness in the face, arm or leg
    • Sudden, severe headache
    • Deep cuts with bleeding that won’t stop
    • Coughing up or vomiting blood
    • Severe burns
    • Seizures
    • Snake bites
    • Vaginal bleeding
    • Pregnancy related problems
    • Children 1 year or younger

How long will I have to wait?

Franklin Park Urgent Care Center patients are generally treated on a first-come, first-served basis. While every attempt will be made to see you as quickly as possible, wait times will be based on the number of people seeking care as well as the seriousness of their condition. Our goal is to get patients in and out within an hour.

To speed up the wait times, the clinic has two providers on duty from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Mondays through Friday. Having two providers on duty at the same time can greatly reduce your wait time.

    Who will care for me?

Our staff includes experienced physicians, nurse practitioners and medical assistants. We are equipped with two minor surgery rooms and diagnostic X-ray services. All x-rays are reviewed by the provider and a licensed radiologist. On-site prescription services are also available for patients receiving care at the clinic.

What forms of non-insurance payment do you accept?

Franklin Park Urgent Care Center accepts cash, personal checks, Visa‚ MasterCard and American Express.

Will you file my insurance claim?

If you have health insurance, we will assist you in filing your claim as a courtesy to you. However, you will have to pay the copay, if any, at the time of service. Any amounts the insurance company deems to be the patient's responsibility will be billed by the clinic to the patient's home address.

What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring the following items; photo id, your insurance card, list of current medications you are taking and a list of any current allergies.

If you are here for a physical exam, please bring any unique physical exam paperwork required by the entity requesting you get a physical exam. The clinic has copies of the most generic physical exams (DOT, FAA, school sports physicals, etc.)

If you are at the clinic for a work related injury, please be ready to give the receptionist your employer's business name, business address, business phone and business contact name. If you have already filed a worker's compensation claim be sure to bring in the claim number.
